Ren Shimizu Khan is a first generation Japanese and Pakistani immigrant, as well as a DACA recipient hailing from Kumanogawa, Japan.
Graduating from University of California Santa Cruz, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Politics, Ren served as President of the Japanese Student association. Upon graduating from university, Ren has immersed himself in the pursuit of achieving universal human rights for all through their work in the legal and public sector. Ren brings a critical sense of logistics without sacrificing empathy to ensure clients receive precise but also culturally competent representation.
In their free time, Ren aids as a project assistant for the San Francisco chapter of The Japanese American Citizen League, the oldest Asian human rights non-profit in the country. Their interest range from collecting various vintage Eastern philosophy books, pursing "the perfect cup of tea" as well as caring for their pet black cat, Tchotchke.
